I am not seeing enough pure unadulterated joy on my friends' page about the election results. SO...
We got the House! We might even get the Senate! Boogie on down! Go, Pelosi! And do an extra little shake for winning MO - didn't think we'd get that one. Also a shout-out to Dan Savage, who must be happy that Santorum's out of office.
Deval Patrick won for governor of MA! Aw, yeah!
South Dakotans reject sweeping abortion ban! Do a little dance against bans in my pants! (Ok, it nearly rhymed.)
And also, I was personally pleased to find out at the polls that my House rep is Ed Markey, whom my brother worked for several years ago, and who is, by all accounts, quite excellent at his job. Nobody challenged him, but it's nice to trust the people representing you.
