San Francisco alert
Sep. 25th, 2005 10:46 amA guy I did high school drama with (Jonas, for anyone who also went to high school with me ;) is now a circus acrobat/clown.* And he sent out a flyer for the latest show that sounds quite cool, and begged everyone to spread the word. Anyone in San Francisco who's bored might think about checking this out.
From the San Francisco Chronicle: "Wild wackiness awash in wispy wistfulness, RAIN is the memory of a circus that never was playfully inventing itself for the future. It's quick-witted and fast on its feet, funny, tuneful, irreverent, lightly affecting, and chock full of astonishing feats of strength, flexibility and acrobatics. It's Cirque Eloize, the endlessly inventive Montreal-born company that turns circus acts into engaging theater and theaters into a buoyant, breathtaking and comic circus. At the Curran Theatre from Sept. 20 - Oct. 16."
*I sometimes feel that I know the most interesting people possible, in an incredibly wide range of interests and pursuits. Chalk up one more. "Yeah, but do you know a circus clown?"
