London notes
Aug. 18th, 2005 10:21 amMany thanks to
flannelcat for showing me and
a517dogg a great time in London yesterday! We had lunch at a very cool pub called the Marlborough Head where the bathrooms were located through secret passageways behind fake bookshelves, and then we wandered around Covent Garden, enjoying the street theater. I had a great time - if you and
penguin_worship come to the US, I'll return the favor!
Paul Hillier was great, although I feel a little conflicted about the direction he's taking the choir. Pre- and post-Hillier, the Estonian Philharmonic Chamber Choir is quite different things. Not good or bad, just different. Today is the British Museum, where I hope to pick up postcards, and see those hot statues of Dionysus and Apollo. ;)
