Nov. 7th, 2006 10:23 amServes me right for boasting about how busy I am. Yesterday I got slammed with a very bad sore throat and fever. Luckily I got an appointment with the doctor today, so hopefully this can get sorted out. (I have had a sore throat off and on for about a month, which is kind of freaky now that part of my income is from singing.) I am hoping that the sore throat is something severe that I can take care of with antibiotics, b/c that will explain the past month and make me feel better.
I still have to vote. Ugh.
Also, I wish I had energy to work on all the things I can work on at home, instead of just lying in bed, and reading a few pages of Asimov when I am feeling particularly energetic.
One thing that happens to me when I get a fever (like last night) is that my brain will pick something to obsess about, and then think about it ALL NIGHT, which lasts a very long time b/c I'm tossing and turning and throwing the covers about. So of course, last night, I was obsessing about the Deval Patrick campaign. I sort of had it in my brain that when the election was over (which in my brain was happening last night) then my fever would break, so I kept telling myself to just hang on until everyone voted because once they did, the fever would break and I could get into a deep sleep. It made more sense then that it does trying to write it down.
But it means you should go vote b/c then my fever will break and I'll feel better!
