We sailed on the ship WC
My chorus-mates and me
'Round Charleston-town we did roam
Drinking all night
Wasn't too bright,
Oh lord, I feel so broke up, I want to go home.

Technically, drinking all night didn't really have a deleterious effect, but I couldn't think of a rhyme.

V. grumpy before concert this afternoon. That probably had to do with reading another book (The Goose Girl, by someone or another, which I recommend, but which is a book about an alienated girl, so didn't really put me in a happy head space) and also finding out at the last minute that I was supposed to have memorized Danny Boy. Nobody EVER tells me when I have to memorize anything for this stupid secret-society-like choir, and it drives me nuts.

Also, Joseph Flummerfelt just conducted his last Westminster Choir concert. So before the concert I was grumpy and at the end I was teary. Lucky I managed to dredge up some proper musical professionalism and be expressive during.

I'm coming to Boston soon - I hope to have a few days free to see people, depending on my work schedule. 6/16 or 6/17, anyone?

Blargh. Maybe if I eat I'll perk up. At least I'm going to see Tiny Ninja Theater tonight.

In 3 days, I will be home (back in NJ.)

In 6 days, I will be home (back in MA.)

Yay!

Tiny Ninja Theater Hamlet was sold out. I was too stupid to get a ticket ahead of time at the box office. It was a geek moral imperative to see that show, and I didn't. I failed in the pilgrimage of my people. Boo!

Last opera call is in half an hour - I need to go grab lunch first.
