I am home! In my lovely house that smells like my house! And my kitchen! I was starving and tired so I just made mac and cheese, but true food will come soon!
I am also sleepy and grumpy and yet I agreed to go out to dinner w/ Dr. M (yay!) and people I don't know very well and often feel awkward around (urp!) so I need to take a nap and get my social mojo on.
This summer is shaping up to be so busy. How does that happen? Good things...but I don't know if I'm going to have time to watch all the episodes I want of Firefly AND Alias AND Battlestar Galactica.
Being home has alerted me to one problem. My room is hot. I mean HOT. We have central air, and it works quite nicely in the rest of the house, but I'm in the attic, and about 20 degrees hotter than everywhere else. Do I cave and buy air conditioning? Or do I do something clever with fans? (I have 2 windows and they directly face each other on opposite sides of the room. I also currently have a ceiling fan.)
I have to do something - most of my summer projects involve being in my room.
[EDIT: Dinner was great. I'm so glad I went. Good company.]
