So, I have a lot of work to do tonight. I have to finish my writing for conducting, whip out some counterpoint, and finish off a piece for solo flute (currently titled: "French Arcadian Nightmare", subtitled "Chloe's Revenge". Ravel should be exhumed, resurrected, and forced to sing his own damn music is all I have to say.)

In this vein, feel free to amuse me. Discuss your latest irrational impulse. Talk about why you ate no peas today. Comment on the credo statement in my last entry. Whatever.

Please?

My latest irrational impulse is to go spend lots of money I don't have on clothes. So far I haven't yielded to it. But I may soon yield to the impulse to go to the counter in the cafe and get a brownie.

I didn't eat peas today because I don't have any.

I'm writing religious trivia questions tonight, so I'm happy for a break to amuse you!

Religious trivia questions for what? That sounds interesting. :) Can you give me a sample?

True or False:

this is a real quote from the Bible

“As in all the churches of the saints, the women should keep silence in the churches. For they are not permitted to speak but should be subordinate, as even the Law says. If there is anything they desire to know, let them ask their husbands at home. For it is shameful for a woman to speak in church.”

I'll bet 5 bucks you haven't read I Corinthians 14:34.

:D

YaY

I love the bible.

irrational impulses:

moving to Fiji
running away with the circus to be an elephant
wearing a skirt (highs in the teens make that highly irrational)

I didn't eat peas today, because I only eat spheroid vegetables on prime numbered days.

I don't believe you. But even the possibility of this being true makes me really happy.

What's irrational about moving to Fiji? You don't think you'd enjoy yourself?

I noticed the other day while doing yoga that the right arm of my couch had an L on it. I checked out the other arm and it had an R on it. I quickly concluded that when I put the couch together I must have switched the arms.

Tonight, I rebuilt the couch. Not only did it go together a lot easier than it did before (which should have been a sign, I know, the last time), but it seems more stable. You should be happy with the stability, because it might be where you are sleeping in March.

I didn't eat peas today because I like them frozen, and it's too damn cold to eat frozen things. I did, however, buy two cans of split pea soup, one of which I might possibly eat for dinner. (The soup, not the can.)

And yes, I haven't eaten dinner yet at 9:11 pm. That's because I got up at 1 pm.

Irrational impulses?
Well, last night I dreampt that I had a child, a son named after my grandfather (Charles). He was still young enough to be pudgy and spoke in single words. He had curly brown hair, like my brother. In a later stage of the dream, he returned at about two years old, walking and greeting everything in sight. That's very surely something I've never done before. I mean, had a dream like that, the daytime corollary being impossible anyway right now.

I did eat peas today, because they were frozen and quick to prepare and went well with chili and corn muffins.
