I discovered the Elizabeth Moon/Wiscon debate recently, and am interested in reading more about it. (I did find a screen cap of her original post, but it made my eyes glaze over and didn't seem worth reading in its entirety, since I got the gist.) If you know of entries you thought were particularly cogent on the subject, feel free to link, or just share your thoughts.

Date: 2010-11-01 07:14 pm (UTC)I'm always interested in the discussions around gender, feminism, and anti-racism that take place in the sci-fi and fannish communities because I can clearly see two areas I'm really interested in coming together. And frequently because these discussions are not on a 101-level (well, clearly Moon needs some 101-work, but a lot of the discussion the incident generated is frequently higher than 101) so that means it's a good place to try and get a grasp of more complex issues. Basically, I'm always interested in this stuff, but I'm even more interested if it's taking place "on my street," as it were.
