I just found out that I am NO LONGER ELIGIBLE for Commonwealth Care b/c I am at, like, 300.01% of the federal poverty level.

I think I am eligible for some ass thing that acts like sucky healthcare, but isn't actually health care and whose name I have already forgotten* but which I will be getting a letter about this week, so therefore I would still get penalized.

If I wanted to buy healthcare, the cheapest option is $215 a month, which is definitely not affordable once I start renting this summer.

I AM SO DEPRESSED. Fuckfuckfuck everyone who argued against a public option.

I should clarify that one reason I am so depressed by the healthcare situation is that for the past 4-5 days I've been having really bad back pain. I have no idea what's causing it, but my two theories are 1.) 3 weeks of coughing and 2.) renewed stress after holiday break. I am hoping it just goes away, since I have no healthcare right now. But anyways, it is constant, and pretty rough, although ibuprofin helps a lot. Getting up in the mornings is really difficult...I might try sleeping on the floor tonight, to see if a different surface helps.

I blame winter for my healthcare problems 100%. Well, maybe not the healthcare coverage. But the colds, pneumonia, coughing and backache, definitely.
