Bloody video has been recorded by splendid gentleman who saved my butt by recording me the day after he got back from Japan (husband of one of the faculty members I work with at Longy.) Bless him forever. Going to go over to his house tomorrow night to edit it.
Conducting part of video went OK, though it might have helped if I had ever looked at my watch during the whole thing. Ah, well, that's the glory of digital editing.
The "speaking to the camera about who you are and what your musical background is" bit went dreadful, in my opinion, b/c I didn't practice and just babbled. That is, I thought about the questions, and wrote myself spiels, and then thought it would look tacky to just read it off, and would be better spontaneously, so I just nervously and insincerely blathered at the camera. And I knew perfectly well that I should practice speaking spontaneously if that was what I was going to do, but I just re-read all the Very Secret Diaries on![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
cassieclaire's LJ this afternoon before rehearsal instead. Oh, well. Hopefully they'll just read my essays to get that info. (Wait, that means the essays have to be good. Blast.)
I suppose we can re-record that part tomorrow if it's really awful...it's not like I need a chorus for it.
