What blog aggregators do people use? (I mean outside of LJ.)

Also, why is it that whenever I want to spend massive amounts of time procrastinating on LJ, everyone else apparently has a life and doesn't post, and whenever I'm going crazy with classes, rehearsals, etc., people post tons of interesting stuff? There should be a name for this phenomenon. Suggestions welcome.

I use NetNewsWireLite, the freeware version of NetNewsWire, and I quite like it. (I'm on a Mac, though, and am not sure it's available for the PC... :-)

I've noticed the same inverse relation between my amount of free time and the amount of content on my f-list. Aggravating, isn't it? :)

Indeed! I really do think it needs a name. Like: The Theory of the Inverse Relationship of Blogs to Time. Except that that's boring and suck-tastic. Got anything better? :)

The Inverse Posting Density Rule. I've noticed that phenomenon too.

What the heck is a blog aggregator?

Well, your friends page is a blog aggregator. It's a page that lists the most recent entries from a certain set of blogs that you choose. I want to start finding and reading more music blogs, so I want to have a place to collect them, so I don't have to run around and read them all individually.

Know of any good music blogs I should look at?

Hmm. Well, I use Thunderbird as my POP mail client and RSS aggregator, and since most "solo" blogs support RSS, this also works as my blog aggregator for most blogs I've been interested in that aren't LJ.

And yes, I have noticed the Inverse Posting Density Rule as well! Case in point, I haven't had the time to post hardly anything in weeks, though I've really wanted to participate in some of the posts and memes that have been floating around. Le sigh.

That seems like the best option so far, since I use Thunderbird already.

Now I just have to find some cool music blogs to aggregate. :)
