( it goes on... )
In other news, I biked over to Winchester High School today in order to try and get a part-time assistant choral director job there (which would have been perfect - I would really love to do that job with someone else who has more experience.) My luck was in b/c the music director was actually there in her office...and my luck was out because she just filled the job. Phbbt. Also, it was too long a bike-ride for someone in my current state of fitness in this heat. (It was hilly, and about an hour there and more back.)
It's very hard not to kick myself, and say, if I had just turned in that letter a week ago! Etc. At any rate, the job search goes on, and I'm having the most luck with UU churches, which is good, b/c that's where I most want to work. Ironic, I suppose, for regular readers of this blog, but I think it would be a good and healing and educational thing for me to be part of the UU church right now, b/c they will accept my atheism and remind me about all the positive things about faith communities. It will feel like going home. I am aiming for the Boston area for the same reason. I feel kind of beat up by the past two years, and I want to come home.
× I miss somebody right now. | × I don't watch much TV these days. | ✓ I own lots of books. |
✓ I wear glasses or contact lenses. | × I love to play video games. | × I've tried marijuana. |
✓ I've watched porn movies. | × I have been the psycho-ex in a past relationship. | ✓ I believe honesty is usually the best policy. |
✓ I curse sometimes. | ✓ I have changed a lot mentally over the last year. (I agree with annelarissa - being a musician makes you cranky.) | × I carry my knife/razor everywhere with me. |
