This is timely considering one of my thoughts today in rehearsal. I thought, Isn't it ironic that the word homo, used today as a generally derogatory term for gay people, comes from the Latin word "man," and is used in Latin texts to mean "everyman" and to be inclusive of all human experience, in direct contrast to the way it is used today?
The grammar was convoluted, but I think you take my meaning.
