You're at work and you go to the bathroom just so you can sit on the floor next to the toilet and lean your head against the wall and zonk out for five minutes.

I hear there are places of work where they have nap rooms. In general, I much prefer working for academic institutions to being a corporate whore, but on days like this I think if the corporations would let me sleep in a bed during work hours, then I might not mind...

I'm not actually feeling as pitiful as this sounds, don't worry. Just sleepy.

We have a "sick room" which I use for that purpose. Don't know what other use you would have for a sick room. If you're sick enough to need it, you probably should go home.

Though was so tired once I went into the computer training room and sat in the back corner with my head on a chair so I could take a brief nap. It was awkward, but very nice afterwards...

Hm, we should have a sick room. We do have computer training rooms, though. Perhaps I shall have to try that next time. :)

The thing is, there are couches downstairs in the lobby of the library, but it's not exactly kosher for staff on duty to go down and take a nap in them...

When we ran the Nationals debate tournament in college we had a crying room staffed with kleenex and vodka for when we would invariably snap from going 4 days without sleep while being nice and friendly and coordinating a bunch of meals and parties and round for 200+ people. At one point all of us used it...
