Thank you to all those who commented on my last entry!

I found the lists most helpful, and therefore first prize goes to [livejournal.com profile] sanj, with [livejournal.com profile] sen_no_ongaku a close second (though since [livejournal.com profile] sen_no_ongaku is invariably in a category by himself, he therefore always wins.)

So either go comment for a first time, or go back a second time, if you feel inclined, and give me lists of stuff. I already know that I have to go check out Vaughn Williams' A Sea Symphony, Szymanowski, and Moxy Fruvous.

I have a BIG QUESTION that I want all of you to answer. Yes, even the lurkers, even the people I've never met, or whose journals I don't regularly read, and even close friends and people who think I know the answer for them. All of you.

I was talking to my brother a while ago, and somehow the fact came up that he likes Russian choral music. This was quite a shock - I was like, "You do? I didn't know you listened to any choral music!" He mentioned some other stuff he listened to as well and I felt very lax about not having previously known his choral listening habits. So my question is...

What sort of choral music do you like?

Do you like particular genres? Particular composers? Do you normally hate Romantic music, but Brahms has this one piece you really dig? Do you claim not to like new music, but have a soft spot for stuff that Chanticleer premieres? Do you like a certain choir? Surprise me. What do you listen to, and even if you don't listen to choral music regularly, what do you like?

Please expound at length! It is, after all, Monday - you need to take a break and comment on someone's blog!
