Does anyone have any soup recipes that freeze really well? If so, please recommend! (Am having this week a minestrone recipe that was only moderately successful after the freezing process.)

Chili generally freezes well... I don't have one particular recipe, but generally the recipes on the back of chili spice packets work well. Cheap, too, since canned tomatoes and canned beans are the primary ingredients.

(Obviously, it adds to the cost a bit if you want meat, but not too much...)

Great suggestion - and of course, the cheap option is also appreciated. I will make some this week!

This Red Lentil Soup froze quite well for me, as did the Curried Black Bean Soup (tho I still intend to fiddle with that recipe because it was a little thinner than I would have liked; it calls for 80 oz of broth and I ended up with about 8 servings rather than the 4 servings they claimed).

Great suggestions - thanks!

Chicken soup freezes well. Next week I should have time to write out my chicken soup method (it's far too free-form to really be a recipe) for you.

Oo, I'm not always so great with free-form. You should make it into a recipe just for me. :) I will happily make it when you do - chicken soup sounds perfect!

OK, I will make a recipe of the variation I make most often, which is a bit unusual.
